Day 1

  • Project Tracker Charts - 2 hrs

We show how to track a project by using an EXCEL chart

to include various tasks from start to finish to complete a project.

The purpose of the chart is to help support Senior

Management focus on critical items to resolve within

Approved Project Completion dates

We will create a chart suitable for your company needs

from the template.

 

  • Program Timeline Charts – 2hrs

We show how a Time line and Project Management Chart

can support Management visually track key timing points

in the project and set realistic team goals. An example

Milestone chart will be shown and discussion on use and

purpose.

 

  • Lunch – 1 hour

 

  • Weekly Technical Review (WTR) – 2 hrs

We show how to prepare for meetings with correct data.

Scheduling the meeting time slot.

The purpose of the meeting,

1. Approval for new or improved part functions,

2. Review of previous task for closure

3. Presentation of critical items from in house or supplier

parts

4. Limiting meeting to four agenda items. Each item limited

to 15 minutes.

 

  • Review of 1st days activities – 1 hr

Day 2

  • Daily Activities Tracker (DAT) – 2 hrs

We show how to control tasks from email, phone calls and

meetings. How to decide on priority of 3 critical tasks for

the day. Where and how to plan 2 or 3 weeks out. How to

log completed tasks and where to ask for help when you

have a roadblock in your daily work.

 

  • Controlling Email – 2 hrs

We show effective examples of how to send and receive

email, sorting, deleting and filtering effectively.

 

  • Lunch 1 hr

 

  • CAD Model Naming Conventions – 2hrs

We show effective naming conventions. Ways to cut time

and effort in sorting and filtering. The importance of

commonality in naming and numbering for in house and

suppliers. Keeping your database clean from trash models.

 

  • Review of 2nd days activities – 1 hr

Review material make suggestions and short review of

Day 3

Day 3

  • Weekly Manager Log – 3 hrs

The purpose of the Manager Project Review Log is to have

an accurate view of weekly group activities and be able to

present progress of key items to overall completion of the

project.

Items in the log will be Project Management Chart,

Financial Statements, items from Daily Activities Tracker,

Tech Review meetings and last-minute show stoppers.

 

  • Lunch 1 hr

 

  • Supplier Updates and Follow up – 1 hr

We will show suggestions on how to support suppliers in

improving product and data along with building better

communication.

 

  • Weekly Financial Review (WFR) – 1 hr

We will discuss how to connect and improve finance data

at Weekly Technical Review along with adding Finance

comments to Project Tracker Chart and Weekly Manager

Log can save time and cost.

 

  • Review of days activities – 1 hr

Review material make suggestions and conclusion

summary of class.
